From Dirk Vanderleest

Dear Friends of Perichoresis,

Now that we finally figured out how to send emails through our web site, let me introduce myself. My name is Dirk Vanderleest. I am the CEO of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority. I have been a part of the ministry of Perichoresis since its beginning back in the early 90’s, and now serve as the Chairman of its Board. It is one of the highlights of my life to be involved in such a ministry.

Yesterday I Googled “Baxter Kruger” and discovered over 6 million results. I was shocked and thrilled. Then I checked the numbers on Baxter’s blog. To date his blog has been accessed over 44,000 times from over 70 countries. Again, I was shocked and thrilled, and then perplexed. As a businessmen I could not help but wonder, how can a ministry with this kind of impact be financially strapped every month? As you know, Baxter is a theologian for the masses and a great communicator of the real gospel, but he is not good about communicating how our ministry survives, or about asking for money to support it.

Here are the business facts. Book and lecture sales make up about one tenth of our annual budget of one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars. The rest comes from private donation, people like you and me, who have been blessed by this ministry and want to see it touch the whole world. There is some contribution from churches, but not much. As one of our Board members put it, ‘there are a lot of folks feeding from our trough and not even leaving a tip.’ I think the problem is that many people who of have been blessed by our ministry simply don’t know that their help is sorely needed. So I am asking you to help support this ministry. A contribution of $20.00 or more a month would go along way. If you can do more we would be thrilled. I realize that we are all struggling these days, but I also realize that Perichoresis has helped millions of people around the world. A small contribution from a large number of people will help stabilize the financial part of our ministry, and it would help us expand our outreach so that many more folks can find real healing and hope.

• You can contribute by making a tax-deductible check payable to Perichoresis and by sending it to:
Perichoresis
P. O. Box 98157

• You can contribute anywhere in the world through our web site (perichoresis.org). If, like me, that word is to hard too remember, visit and it will guide you to our main web site. Once there look for the word “Donate” between “Free Resources” and “Subscription,” just under the black Perichoresis banner at the top of the page. Click on “Donate.”

• In Canada send tax-deductible check payable Incarnation Ministries to:

(Be sure to write Perichoresis on the check memo line)

Thank you for your help and contribution.

Sincerely,

Dirk Vanderleest

Dirk,
Can you talk to the computer/website gurus about another "membership" option at a higher amount? I would prefer to be an unlimited member but pay it out over the year. I guess I am asking for a automatic payment option at a higher rate.

My email is r.patrick.moore@us.army.mil if you have questions or directions you'd rather give outside the blog.

Love all those who help this ministry go forward.

peace, chap daddy moore

I am a bit perplexed because folk like me like a secure system of money transfer and I thought, having shopped often using it, one has arrived by the name of Paypal!? Surely one could then give confidently in such knowledge?
Why i like Baxter so much is , i hope, in real confidence, that he has made the Gospel reassuringly simply and confidently or positively to be grasped. I feel strange now about theology knowing that most of those i speak to of no training have such a simple view of God often with more reference and prayer being directed towards dear departed souls than directly to the almighty himself! Talk about an incarnational latent theology, gone slightly skew-whiff! Such latent views make me wonder why I continue to hold out that Baxterian or Torrancian disctinctions and clarifications will be listened to, however gently and lovingly i may put them across! There is nothing like being useful to God and knowing like I presume Baxter does, that he is a man of the right time and place. I wish I was, here in Ireland, the man of the moment, for God, of my time and place!!

Hello folks:

For what it's worth: I would like to offer, what I hope, is a Christ centered approach to the Perichoresis ministry's financial problems.

As I see it, we've been enjoined through the scriptures in Proverbs 23:23 to: "Buy the truth and do not sell it;..."
and Matthew 2414: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations..."

If this ministry is inspired and empowered by Jesus Christ, which I believe it is, it seems to me that He will take care of the business of providing the necessary funds for us to take care of His business of preaching the gospel to the poor, setting the prisoners free, and giving sight to the blind, ETC.

With this in mind, I propose that all online material, both audio and e-text, be made available to all persons world wide absolutely free of charge including online radio stations and that the need for financial support be clearly stated in the audio and e-text materials. An easy way to send donations should be implemented such as the use of PayPal.

I'm confident that Christ will supply co-laborers to help with this ministry and that the financial burden will be shared by many persons throughout the earth.
