Dear Baxter, thanks a lot for all your teaching through the years. I think I'm busy moving way from being a 5-point Calvinist.
One thing I'm still struggling with though is what Calvinism teaches about faith as a gift of God, a work of the Spirit in contrast to the Arminian view of faith being a human endeavour/choice made possible with Gods help ("grace").
My question is WHY not all people believe the Good News? WHY doesn't God give that gift of faith to all. At the end of the day, WHO is at the helm: God or man? Who's on the throne? It's wonderful to proclaim that the whole human race has been included in Christ (and that it biblical I believe) but only those to whom God is going to give the actual gift of faith, will eventually believe it! Or is it in mán's power to believe of reject the Gospel?
One last thing: Could you PLEASE send me (or refer me to a download link) your talk on the Holy Spirit that you did in Sydney some time ago??? I would appreciate it.
